Please read the Privacy Policy carefully. Each time you visit our website or purchase your natural gas and/or electricity from us you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your information consistent with our then-current Privacy Policy.

II. Information we collect about you and how we use it.

Agway Energy collects information about you:

  • To provide you with information about Agway Energy, our EnergyGuard™ program, and your Agway Energy services account.
  • To provide information to your utility so they can bill you for your consumption of natural gas and/or electricity.
  • To improve your experience with our EnergyGuard™ repair program and contractors.
  • To improve your experience on our website.

Personal Information.

Personal Information is information that identifies you as an individual. It may include, among other things, your first and last name, billing and service addresses, email address, telephone number(s), utility service account number, purchase or consumption history, bill cycles, billing determinants, electric load or gas profiles, meter information and, where applicable, life support equipment.

You are not required to provide any Personal Information in order to visit our website.

We may collect your Personal Information if you request information about our natural gas, and/or electricity supply and our EnergyGuard™ repair program or when you register for promotions.

When you voluntarily submit your contact information (e.g. name, email, mailing address, telephone number) and utility information (service address and utility account number) to enroll for natural gas and/or electricity supply via the Agway Energy website, you consent to receive information from us about the commodity(s) you selected and the EnergyGuard™ repair program.

When you request repair service for your heating system, central A/C unit, or internal wiring, we may ask you for information about your equipment and/or ask you troubleshooting questions. Your name, address, telephone number and customer account number will be provided to the contractor when your repair call is dispatched.

When you send us an email, we will retain your email, email address and our response. We may use this information to answer your follow-up questions and measure how effectively we address your concerns.

We may ask you to voluntarily provide us with information about your interests, demographics, contact preferences, experience with our EnergyGuard™ repair program, interaction with our customer service representatives and use of existing promotional programs.  If you provide this information, we may use it to improve our processes and programs, and send you informational materials or new promotions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We may collect Personal Information from other sources, for example, from calls you make to our customer service representatives or when you speak to a sales representative to inquire or sign up for natural gas and/or electricity supply.  We may combine Personal Information from other sources with Personal Information that you provide online.

Your utility will be required to provide certain information to Agway Energy about you in order for us to provide you with natural gas and/or electricity and EnergyGuard™ service.  This information may include, but is not limited to, service and billing addresses,  utility service account numbers , purchase or consumption history, bill cycles, billing determinants, electric load or gas profiles, meter information and, where applicable, life support equipment.

Information about your website activity.

We may use cookies and other technologies to collect anonymous information when you use our websites, such as which pages you access, your IP address, information about your browser and domain, and what site you came from. Cookies are small text files that are stored within your computer’s or mobile device’s memory by a website through your browser.    We use the anonymous information to improve our websites and to optimize your user experience.

We may use anonymous information about what website you came from for advertising placement and for tracking the effectiveness of advertising.

Do Not Track.

At this time our website does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals transmitted by browsers.

Information that third-parties may collect about your activity on the website.

Third-party services, such as Facebook tracking pixels, Google Analytics, or other data aggregators may collect user information on Agway Energy’s website.  They do not provide information back to Agway Energy that links user website activity data to specific individuals.  Some of these services may be able to link the user’s activity on the Agway Energy website with other data and target a message to a specific user when the user is on another web or social media site.  If you have questions about an ad or other targeted content that you receive, or how third-party services use your data, you should contact the third-party services directly.

III. How we share the information we collect about you.

When you enroll for natural gas and/or electricity supply, Agway Energy will be required to provide your utility with the commodity you choose and your utility account number, so your utility can send back to Agway Energy additional information about your account to give Agway Energy the ability to provide you with natural gas and/or electricity.

We may share your Personal Information with our vendors and service providers in order for us to set up your account , provide your natural gas and/or electricity service, EnergyGuard™ service, bill you for the natural gas and/or electricity you consume, ship promotional and thank-you items, and provide you with important information about our services.

If permitted by applicable law, we may share your Personal Information with affiliates of Agway Energy so that they may send you information about special offers that may be of interest to you based on information that you have given us.

If we sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of our assets in connection with a merger, reorganization, liquidation, dissolution or sale of assets, we may transfer your Personal information without your consent.

We reserve the right to release your information to cooperate with any law enforcement or other governmental agency’s investigation of any fraudulent or illegal activity on or through our website, enforce the terms of any agreement or protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the general public and Agway Energy.  Under such circumstances, we may be prohibited from providing you with notice of such disclosure, and we reserve the right not to provide you with such notice.

We may share aggregated and statistical non-personal information with third-parties to better understand how our website is used and to improve user experience.

IV. Safeguarding your Personal Information.

Agway Energy recognizes the importance of safeguarding your Personal Information and we endeavor to maintain reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized disclosure or access.  No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information.

The site may provide links to websites or social media pages operated by other parties. If you click through to another site or page, your activity will be subject to the privacy policy of that site or page, and not to the Agway Energy Privacy Policy.  We recommend that you review the privacy policies of other sites or pages before you use them.

Use of the site by a child under age 13.

The content on Agway Energy website is targeted at adults. Agway Energy will not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.  If a child provides us with any Personal Information, the parent or guardian should notify Agway Energy by email at or by phone at 877-976-6866.  Upon receipt of this notice, Agway Energy will delete the child’s information, and will remove the child’s information from our system.

V. Opting out of promotional messages.

We will only send e-mail promotions or announcements to you if you have previously given your permission for us to do so.
